Hey Perladictos, luego de algunos meses sin actividad "bloguistica" hoy les hemos preparado un post muy especial, una entrevista con una adorable mujer quien es parte muy importante en la vida de nuestra bella Perla, ella es Yohama Borrego, a quien he tenido el placer de conocer por casi mas de un año y puedo decir sin duda que es una de las personas mas fuertes que he conocido, Perla la describe como su Prima/Hermana, es la ahijada de Slash y la madrina de Cash y London, no son esos los mejores titulos en el mundo? Bien, aquí lo que esta bella cubana compartió con nosotros…. 

Hey Perlaholics! After a few months without "bloggistic" activity, today we have prepared for you a very special post, an interview with a lovely woman who's a very important part in our beautiful Perla's life, Yohama Borrego, I've had the pleasure of getting to know her for over a year now and I can tell you for sure that she's one of the strongest persons I've ever known, Perla describes Yohama as her "Cousin/Sister", she also is Slash's Goddaughter, and Cash and London's Godmother.... Ain't those just the coolest titles in the whole world? Well, here's what this beautiful Cuban shared with us...:

Primero que nada, infinitas gracias por darme la oportunidad de realizar esta entrevista! Es un placer para mi poder ofrecerle a nuestros seguidores el privilegio de conocerte un poco mejor… 

First of all, infinite thanks for giving me the opportunity of making this interview! Its such a pleasure to be able to offer our followers the privilege of knowing you a little better. 

1) Para comenzar, háblanos un poco de ti ... Como te describirias a ti misma?`

1) To begin, tell us a little about you... And how would you describe yourself?

Hola, pues soy cubana y al 100%!! Tengo 28 años, tengo un titulo de trabajadora social y técnica veterinaria… Me describiría como una persona alegre, positiva, fuerte, valiente, sin miedo a nada… me gusta mucho ayudar a las demás personas, ese es mi fuerte, mi mama solía llamarme Madre Teresa de Calcuta, LOL

Hello, well, I’m 100% CUBAN! I’m 28 years old, I have a Social Worker Degree and I’m also a Veterinary technician. I’d describe myself as a happy, positive, strong, brave, fearless person, I love helping people, that’s my forte, my mom used to call me Mother Teresa of Calcuta, LOL…

2) Hace cuanto dejaste Cuba? Como fue esa experiencia? 

2) How long ago did you leave Cuba? And how was that like? 

Llevo ya 4 años en este país, viví los dos primeros años en Miami y luego me vine a California de vacaciones a ver a mi familia y aquí me quede.

Mi salida de cuba fue bastante fuerte y difícil… Salí un 4 de Junio, casualmente día de mi cumpleaños, nadie sabía nada, dije que iba a buscar un paquete y regresaba, nunca olvidaré la cara de mi mama cuando me despedí, su mirada de tristeza. Estuve 23 horas en el mar y 15 días en México, sin agua, sin comida por 48 horas, escondiéndonos de la policía, fue algo MUUUY duro, algún día les hablaré mas detalladamente acerca de mi viaje, esa es una historia bien larga!

I’ve been in USA for 4 years now, I lived the first 2 years in Miami and then I came to California just for the holydays and to see my family and never left.

The way I left Cuba was very hard and difficult! I got out of there on a 4th of June, coincidentially that’s my birthday, nobody knew I was leaving, I said I was going to get a package and be right back, I’ll never forget my mom’s face when I said goodbye, her sad look. I spent 23 hrs on the sea and 15 days in Mexico, no water, no food for periods of 48 hours, hiding from the police, it was a very hard thing to live, someday I’ll tell you more about it, it’s a very long story.

3) Como ha sido adaptarte a un estilo de vida tan diferente al cubano como el americano? 

3) How's it been to adapt to such a different lifestyle as the american?

Adaptarme a la vida Americana ha llevado sus pasos, en Miami me chocó porque apenas acababa de llegar… pero aquí en Los Ángeles fue aun más fuerte, el ingles me dio bien duro, todos hablando ingles y yo solo me reía!! Pero mi prima y todos me han ayudado muchísimo, y ya también que he ido a la escuela he aprendido mucho mas, las personas en Los Ángeles son mas libres y eso me encanta

It’s been a process to adapt to the American lifestyle, in Miami was a shock ‘cause I had just arrived… But here in Los Angeles was even harder, the language really made me suffer, everybody speaking English and I just smiled at them!! But my cousin and everybody here are being very helpful and supportive, I also went to English classes and learned more, people in L.A. are very free and I love that!

4) Tu y Perla son prácticamente inseparables, hablanos un poco acerca de tu relacion con Perla 

4) You and Perla are almost inseparable, tell us a little about your relationship with her. 

Te diré que cuando yo era una niña mis abuelos siempre me hablaban y me enseñaban fotos de mi familia en los Estados Unidos, así que me vine a este país. Antes de conocer personalmente a Perla yo vivía en Miami y un día le envié un mensaje por myspace diciéndole que yo estaba aquí en los Estados Unidos. En abril del 2009 nos conocimos personalmente en Miami y después de eso me mude a California y como tu dices somos inseparables, nos queremos mucho y nos cuidamos mutuamente, ella me llama Happy Police (Policía Feliz) Porque siempre la protejo de todo y de todos, sabes que ser la esposa de una celebridad como Slash es difícil y hay muchas malas personas esperando el momento exacto para hacer daño, pero la monkey police esta aquí para cuidarla de eso hahaha…

Let me tell you that when I was a Little child, my grandparents used to talk to me about our family in the States, and they used to show me pictures f them, so I came here. Before personally meeting Perla I lived in Miami, and one day I sent her a myspace message telling her that I was here in USA. On April 2009 we finally met and after that I moved to California and like u say, we are inseparable, we love and take care of each other very much, she calls me “Happy police” cause I’m always protecting her from everything and everybody, you know, being the wife of a celebrity like Slash is not easy and there are lots of bad people waiting for the right moment to harm, but Monkey police is here to take care of them hahaha…

5) Como describirias a Perla?

5) How would you describe Perla? 

Para mi, Perla es mi heroína, es una persona extraordinaria, ayuda a todos, esparce mucha energía positiva donde quiera que vaya, somos primas pero yo la amo como a la hermana que nunca tuve.

To me, Perla is my hero! She’s an awesome person, helps everybody, spreads tons of positive energy wherever she goes, she’s my cousin but I love her like the sister I never had.

6) Háblanos un poco de tu relación con el resto de los Hudson, (Slash y los chicos)

6) Tell us a little bit about your relationship with the rest of the Hudsons, (Slash and the boys)

Mi relación con el resto de la familia es igualmente genial! A los niños los adoro, Cash y London son niños muy inteligentes, con Slash me comunico mucho mejor ahora, al principio me costaba por el ingles hahaha y además de ser el esposo d mi prima, lo que lo haría mi primo, es también padrino.

My relationship with the rest of the family is also wonderful! I love the kids so much! Cash and London are very bright kids! With Slash I communicate much better now, it used to be a little difficult because of the language hahaha besides being my cousin’s husband (which makes him my cousin) he’s also my godfather.

7) Como describirias a Slash? 

7) How would you describe Slash?

De Slash te puedo decir que es una persona con un talento increíble, muy inteligente y muy amable, yo estoy muy orgullosa de su fuerza de voluntad con la que dejó todos sus vicios, el no es una estrella de Rock, Slash es una GALAXIA entera, hahaha…

About Slash I can tell you that he’s an incredibly talented person! Very intelligent and kind. I’m very proud of the way quitted all his vices. He’s not a RockStar, he’s an entire galaxy!! Hahaha…

8) Alguna anecdota graciosa andando de gira con Slash y Perla? 

8) Any funny story about touring with Slash and Perla?

De gira siempre hay muchas anécdotas.. OMG miles de ellas, hahaha en el bus en Sur America, Europa, podría estar horas contándote.. Cierta vez de gira en alguna parte de Europa, de alguna manera nos contagiamos todos de piojos, jajaja, Perla, Cash, London y yo llegamos a L.A. rascándonos como locos!

There’s always great anecdotes from every tour, OMG thousands of them, hahaha, on the bus in South America, Europe, I could be here for hours telling you about them, once while touring on Europe, we all Lice! Jajaja Perla, Cash, London and me arrived L.A. scratching like crazies!

9) Que tipo de música te gusta? 

9) What kind of music do you like?

Como Latina que soy me encanta el reggaetón (Chino y Nacho, Pitbull, Ivy Queen) y la salsa, también me gusta la música house y por supuesto el rock!

As a latin I love Reggaeton (Chino y Nacho, Pitbull , Ivy Queen), salsa, also House music and of course Rock!

10) Definitivamente vives una vida que cualquiera desearia vivir, L.A. Hollywood, Celebridades, Rock N' Roll... Que ha sido lo mas emocionante que te ha pasado tomando eso en cuenta, quizas alguien que hayas conocido y que jamas pensaste que conocerías, o visitar algun sitio que jamas pensaste que visitarias? 

10) You're definitely living a life anyone would love to live, L.A. Hollywood, Celebrities, Rock N' Roll... What's the coolest thing that's ever happened to you considering that, maybe someone you met that you never thought you would meet, or going somewhere you'd never thought you'd go...

Esta es una muy buena pregunta, mi vida cambió desde que llegue a Los Angeles… jamás pasó por mi cabeza conocer a muchas de las personas que conozco y muchas veces le pregunto a Perla “…y este quien es??” jajaja porque la verdad vengo de un país donde la fama no es algo que nos enseñan y me ha chocado, personas que ni remotamente soñaba conocer, que para mi eran como decimos “de revistas”, y son iguales que todos nosotros, hay quienes piensan que ser famoso no trae problemas sino solo fama y dinero, no way! es bastante estresante, y ellos mas que nadie deben tener cuidado de todo y de todos.

He conocido muchos países estando de gira con mi prima y Slash, ha sido impresionante e increíble para esta “Beverly Hills Balsera” como me llama Perla, hahhaha

This is a very good question, my life changed since I moved to Los Angeles… it never crossed my mind meeting so many of the people I know now and sometime I ask Perla “… And who’s this?” hahahaha because to tell you the truth I come from a country where the fame or celebrities are not really shown and it’s been kind of a shock to me all this, to me some of those people were like we use to say “people from magazines” and actually they’re really like everybody, some might think that being famous is just fame and money, no way!! Is very stressing! They have to be very careful about everything and averyone.

I’ve known many countries being on tour with my cousin and Slash, it’s been amazing to this “Beverly Hills Balsera” like Perla calls me, hahahaha

Cual es tu nombre completo?

Perla: Perla Teresa Ferrer Hudson   

Tienes algún sobrenombre? Tus familiares o amigos te llaman de alguna manera especial? Y si es así, por que?

Perla: Perlita. Mi mama y mi abuela tambien se llaman Perla.

Háblanos un poco acerca de tu familia. Padres, hermanos, etc…. Eres cercana a ellos? Son la típica familia Latina?

   

Perla: Mi padre murió en el año 2000 y mi mama y yo somos muy pegadas. Ella vive a 30 minutos de mi casa. Mis padres me tuvieron ya en una edad avanzada, mi papa tenia 49 y mi mama 29, mis hermanos son 8 y 9 años mayores que yo. Mis hermanos se llaman Boris Juan Antonio (Le decimos Tony) e Ivan Angel Pablo. Ivan es mi hermano quien desapareció en el 2001 y luego descubrí que fue asesinado en el 2006. Sus asesinos aun no han sido llevados a la justicia. El hecho de que nunca se consiguió el cuerpo hace difícil armar el caso pero yo realice una investigación privada y le di al Departamento de Policía de Los Angeles todo lo investigado! Evidencias, entrevistas, declaraciones, todo. Ellos ahora están trabajando en eso y espero que algo salga a la luz. Soy una firme creyente en el Karma y las personas que hicieron esto la pagaran en esta vida. Uno de los hombres murió en un accidente de motocicleta extrañamente el día del aniversario de Ivan. Me entristece mucho que mis hijos no hayan tenido la oportunidad de conocer a su abuelo y a su tío, pero se que ellos me los están cuidando muy de cerca. Siempre les cuento a London y a Cash historias acerca de ellos para mantener vivo su recuerdo en casa.

Como fue tu niñez? Donde creciste?

    

Perla: Mi niñez fue muy alocada! Crecí entre Los Angeles y Miami. Mi padre fue un vendedor de drogas. Cuando yo tenia 9 años el fue a prisión y estuvo allí hasta que yo tuve 15 años aproximadamente. Pasé mi adolescencia visitándolo en prisión. Fue muy duro pero lo único que conocí. Mis padres eran inmigrantes cubanos buscando asilo político. Llegaron sin nada e hicieron lo que hicieron para poder sobrevivir. No estoy de acuerdo con eso pero tampoco puedo juzgarlos. Mi padre abrió por un tiempo una compañía de pintura y dejo atrás los negocios ilegales. Mi madre se divorcio de el cuando yo tenia 8 años. Ella ahora posee una agencia de traducción y piensa retirarse el año que viene.

Como eras en la escuela? Apuesto a que eras muy popular, habia algo en lo que querias llegar a ser de adulto, alguna carrera en especial? 

Perla: Mientras estuve en la escuela fui muy popular, me llevaba bien con todos. Abandonaba mucho la escuela porque me aburría mucho allí. En primaria y secundaria fui a escuelas privadas muy buenas hasta que mi madre no las pudo pagar más. Luego ella me inscribió en una escuela publica pero ahí me aburría aun mas porque para ese momento ya había aprendido y había visto mucho del mundo

Disfrutaste la escuela?

Perla: Si! Hasta que el aburrimiento llego!

Nos dirias uno de tus mas preciados recuerdos de tu juventud?

Perla: La escuela/internado en Ft Lauderdale Florida! Navegar por el Océano en los barcos de mis amigos. Mi hermano Ivan manejando por 2 horas para llevarme a la escuela cuando tenia q ir a casa y mi familia estaba en Miami.

Cual era tu banda o músico favorito cuando eras adolescente?

Perla: Madonna

Cual fue el primer concierto al que asististe

Perla: The village people con mi primo. Yo tenía 7 u 8 años

Cual fue tu primer trabajo?

Perla: Modelar

Hay alguna persona que pienses haya tenido una gran influencia sobre ti y sobre quien eres?

Perla: Hay mas de una!

Cual dirías que es tu mayor logro? De lo que mas orgullosa estas…?

Perla: Mi mayor logro es mantener un matrimonio fuerte y a mi familia unida. En mi mundo eso no es fácil. Y mi mayor orgullo son mis dos hijos, se que suena trillado pero los adoro!

Se que las personas no deberían arrepentirse de las cosas que hacen sino aprender de ellas…. Pero, mirando hacia atrás, hay algo que hayas hecho que desearías no haberlo hecho? O por el contrario, algo que NO hayas hecho y q desees haber hecho en su momento?

Perla:  Si hiciera algo diferente no tendría ahora el conocimiento y la experiencia que hoy tengo. Eso me haria una persona diferente. Y me siento feliz y segura de quien soy hoy. Lo único que desearía haber hecho es ir a la universidad. Pero igualmente, eso quizás me habría llevado por otro camino y estoy 100% segura que estoy caminando por el camino que el Universo tenia preparado para mi. Tengo un dicho, justo antes de uno venir al mundo, Dios, o quienquiera que este allá arriba te da un mapa y dice “Este es tu camino” Pero justo antes de partir te lo quita, lo rompe en pequeños pedacitos, lo lanza a la tierra y te dice “ahora ve y arma de nuevo tu mapa” y en eso consisten nuestras vidas. En cosas que sabes muy dentro de ti que estas haciendo de la manera correcta, en las personas que conoces, la familia que tienes. Es como si ya lo hubieses hecho antes. Es porque estamos armando nuestro mapa. No creo en la suerte. Creo en el destino.

Pareces estar muy ligada al activismo politico y las causas sociales, así como la campaña NOH8 y el Centro Juvenil de  Los Angeles (LAYN)… Eso nos dice mucho acerca de tu espíritu generoso, como te involucraste en esto? Hay algunas otras causas sociales en el mundo en las que te gustaría tener mayor actividad?

Perla: Pienso que nadie debe dictar lo que otra persona deba hacer. Todos somos iguales y porque seas una mujer que ama a otra mujer no hay razón para que no tengas los mismos derechos que yo para el retiro, pensión, seguro o reconocer tu amor públicamente por otra persona en matrimonio. Peleo por las cosas injustas. Creo que debemos cuidar a los niños del mundo y de los demas. Si no los ayudamos de buena manera y no los cuidamos, que pasara con nuestra civilización? Todos necesitamos amarnos y cuidarnos los unos a los otros, especialmente a los niños. Ellos son indefensos y al final son nuestro futuro! Y los animales, amo a los animales y siento que no tienen voz. Ellos no pueden cuidarse por si solos en la sociedad, y el cautiverio y las personas muchas veces son desconsideradas y crueles con ellos!

Soy Venezolano y me identifico mucho con los cubanos ya que lamentablemente la historia cubana parece repetirse en mi país… Como te sientes acerca de eso, me refiero, a la situación de Cuba, te mantienes informada acerca de lo que sucede allá?

Perla: Nací en Estados Unidos asi que nunca la vivi personalmente, pero puedo entender que las intenciones originales de Castro estaban dirigidas al bien de las personas, pero fracasó en su intento. Pienso que es horrible que Estados Unidos continúe con el bloqueo después de tantos años. Tengo sentimientos cruzados con respecto a todo esto y a la política. No me gusta hablar mucho de política públicamente. Las personas han peleado durante siglos debido a la religión y a la política y no quiero quedar en el fuego cruzado! Respeto las creencias y las razones de todos. Pero no tienen que ser las mias. 

Suficiente de temas serios! Sabemos que te gusta mucho la música electrónica, David Guetta por ejemplo, el rock por supuesto (GNR, Stones, SLASH!!, etc) y la música latina. Actualmente la música latina se esta haciendo muy popular a nivel mundial, Reggaeton, Bachata, Salsa, etc… Quienes son tus artistas latinos favoritos?

Perla: Wisin y Yandel, Chino y Nacho, Ivy Queen, Luis Enrique

Tienes 2 niños hermosos, London y Cash… Tienes alguna buena anécdota acerca de ellos? Sus vidas no son como las de otros chicos de su edad, seguramente sus compañeros de escuela no se van de gira con un montos de rockeros alrededor del mundo… algun recuerdo?

Perla: Oh Dios hay tantos! Mis chicos son tan brillantes y talentosos! Bueno London fue concebido en la casa de Ronnie Woods (Rolling Stones) y a Cash le puso su nombre Robert Evans (Productor de cine, El Padrino). Son muy graciosos. No voy a decir cual de los dos, pero uno de ellos luego de ir al baño y limpiarse, se subia al mueble y se miraba el trasero en el espejo para segurarse de haber quedado limpio. La otra noche uno de los chicos queria que yo lo ayudara a escoger la ropa para el campamento de verano (Día de ropa hawaiana) y cuando le dije que yo pensaba que el ya había escogido la ropa con su niñera, específicamente unos shorts de tiburones, replicó y me dijo “No mama, Solo le estaba siguiendo la corriente” Es demasiado listo! 

Que odias? Es decir, hay algo que te moleste tanto que arruine tu día?

Perla: Realmente nada puede arruinar mi día a menos que algo este mal con Slash, Cash o London. Eso es todo. Si alguno de los chicos se enferma o se hace daño, o si Slash y yo tenemos alguna discusión, esas son las únicas cosas que me podrían deprimir.

Planes futuros… Sabemos que estas escribiendo tus memorias lo cual es extremadamente emocionante! Que nos puedes decir al respecto? Algo interesante por delante?

Perla: Bueno he tocado un poco la superficie con respecto a mi infancia aquí con ustedes… Solo espero escribir un libro que pueda inspirar y hacer que las personas piensen acerca de sus vidas y las decisiones que son obligados a tomar. He tenido una vida bastante intensa y si yo he podido superar los obstáculos que se me han presentado, entonces cualquiera lo puede hacer. Actualmente estoy trabajando en otras 3 cosas las cuales no estoy autorizada a discutir por ahora pero cuando pueda ustedes serán los primeros en enterarse. Debo poder hablar de una de ellas en poco tiempo.

Tienes tantos admiradores, hombres y mujeres, hay algo que te gustaría decirle a tus fans?

Perla: No he hecho nada para tener fans! Pienso que son personas a las que he tocado de alguna manera. Tengo 4 personas específicas que han tocado mi vida y no considero que soy su fan. Pienso que un fan es alguien que aprecia y ama algo que uno hace con talento, y yo aun no he hecho eso! Me siento muy honrada de tener tantas personas que me toman en cuenta a mi y a lo que sea que yo haga o tenga que decir. Ustedes chicos son fabulosos y trato de estar ahí para ustedes, ya sea contestando sus preguntas por Twitter, o en los conciertos de Slash o en otros eventos. Estoy realmente feliz por inspirar y querer y ser querida por todos ustedes.

Whats your full name?

Perla: Perla Teresa Ferrer Hudson   

Do you have a nickname? Do your family or friends call you different than Perla? And if so, why? 

Perla: Perlita It means “little pearl”. My mom and grandmother are also named Perla

Tell us a little about your family? Parents, siblings, etc... are you close to them? Is it like a typical latin family?   

Perla: My father died in 2000 and my mom and I are very close. She lives about 30 minutes away from me. My parents both had me at an older age, Dad was 49 Mom was 29 and my brothers are 8 and 9 years older. My brothers names are Boris Juan Antonio (we call him Tony) and Ivan Angel Pablo. Ivan is my brother that disappeared in 2001 and I found out he was murdered in 2006. His murderers haven’t been brought to justice. Since there is no body, its hard to get a case but I conducted a private investigation and handed the Los Angeles Police Department everything! Evidence, interviews, statements the works. They are now working on it and I hope something comes to light. I am a firm believer in karma and the people who did this will get theirs in this lifetime. One of the guys died in a motorcycle accident oddly enough on Ivans anniversary. It makes me very sad that my boys never got to meet their Grandfather or their Uncle, but I know they are watching over them closely. I tell London and Cash lots of stories about them and keep their memories alive in my home.

 What was your childhood like and where did you grow up?   

Perla: My childhood was very crazy! I grew up all over Los Angeles and Miami. My dad was a drug dealer. He eventually went to jail when I was 9 till about 15. I spent my teens visiting him in prison. It was very hard, but all I knew. My parents were Cuban immigrants that came seeking political asylum. They came with nothing and did what they did to survive. I don’t agree with what they did, but I don’t judge them.  He did go legit and had a painting company for a while. My mom divorced my father when I was 8 and went legit. She has an interpreting agency and is retiring next year.

What were you like at high school? I bet you were super popular, was there anything you wanted to become as an adult, as a career?

Perla: When I was there I was very popular. I got along with everyone, all clicks, and groups. I ditched a lot because I was very bored in school. For elementary and jr high I went to very good private schools until my mom couldn’t afford it. She put me in public school and I was bored because I had already learned everything and had seen so much of the world by then.

Did you enjoy school?

Perla: Yes, up until the boredom set in.

Would you tell us one of your most beloved memories of your teenage years? 

Perla: Boarding school in Ft Lauderdale Florida! Boating in the ocean on my friends boats, my brother Ivan driving me 2 hours from home to school when I got to go home and my fam was in Miami.

What was your favourite band/music as a teenager?

Perla: Madonna

What was the 1st concert you went to?

Perla: The village people with my cousin. I was around 7 or 8

What was your 1st job ever?

Perla: Modelling      

Was there any person that you think had the most influence on you and who you are.

Perla: There are more than 1

What would you say is your major achievement so far? The thing you've done that you're most proud of...

Perla: My major achievement is keeping my marriage stron and family together. In my world, this is not easy. The thing I am the most proud of are my two boys. I know it’s a cliché but I adore them…

I know people shouldn't regret anything but instead learn of everthing they've done... But, looking backwards is there anything you have done that you'd wish you hadn't done a certain way or on the contrary something you didn't do and wish you have done?

Perla: If I did anything differently, I wouldn’t have the knowledge and experience I have today. That would make me a different person. And Im happy and secure with who I am today. Only thing I wish I would have done was go to college. But then again, maybe that would have set me on another path. And I am 100% confident, I am walking the path the universe intended for me. I have a saying. Right before you come to this earth God, or whoever it is up there hands you a road map and says this is your path. But right before you are about to go they take it back, tear it into tiny shreds throw it down to earth and they tell you, “now go put your map back together”. And that is what our lives consist of. Somethings you know in your heart you are doing right, people you meet, family you have. Its as though you’ve done it or been there before. Its because of our own little maps we are putting together. I don’t believe in chance. I believe in destiny.

It seems you are very into political activism and social causes, like NOH8 campaign & Los Angeles Youth Center... That tell us a lot about your unselfish spirit of giving & how were you involved in this? Are there other social causes in the world you'd like to be more active on?

Perla: I don’t think anyone should dictate what another human being of age should do. We are all equal, and because you are a woman loving a woman, there is no reason you cant have the same rights I do to retirement, pensions, insurance, or recognizing your love for each other publically with marriage. I fight for all things that are not fair. I believe we need to care for the children of the world and each other. If we don’t bring up these children in a good way and care for them, what will happen to civilization? We all need to love and care for one another expecially children. Because they are helpless and are at the end of the day, our future. And animals. I love animals and I feel they are voiceless. They certainly cannot care for themselves in society and captivity and people are so cruel and thoughtless with them.

I'm venezuelan, and I can very much relate to Cubans because it seems Cuba history is repeating itself here in my country (sadly)... How do you feel about it, I mean, Cuba situation, do you keep yourself update about  what's going on there?  

Perla: I was born in the USA so I never experienced it first hand, but I can understand how Castros original intentions were aimed at the best for the people but it backfired. I think its horrible that the USA has continued this embargo after all these years. I have mixed feelings on all of this and politics. I don’t like to get into too much publically, Politics and religion that is. People have been fighting about this for centuries and I don’t want to be in the cross fire! I respect everyones beliefs and reasons. They just don’t have to be mine.

Enough talking about such serious matters. We know you're into electro music, David Guetta for example, Rock of course (GNR, Stones, SLASH!!!, etc) and latin music,  nowadays Latin music is getting really popular worldwide, Reggaeton, Bachata, Salsa, etc... Who are your favorite latin performers?

Perla: Wisin and yandel, chino y nacho, ivy queen, Luis Enrique

You have 2 gorgeous kids, London and Cash... Do you have any cool and funny anecdote about them, I mean their lives aren't like other kids lives you know, I'm sure their school friends don't go on tour around the world with their parents and a bunch of rockstars... any special memories?  

Perla: Oh god there are so many! My boys are so bright and talented! Well, London was conceived at Ronnie Woods house and Cash was named by Robert Evans. They are very funny. Im not naming names but when one poops he climbs on the bathroom counter, (after wiping) to turn around and look at his but in the mirror to make sure its clean! Last night the other wanted me to help him pick out his cloths for camp, (Hawaiian dress up day) and when I told him I thought he picked out his cloths with his nanny, specifically some shark print shorts, he replied, “no mom, I was only agreeing with her.” Too smart!      

What do you hate? I mean, is there anything that annoy you so much that could ruin your day?

Perla: Nothing can really ruin my day unless there is something wrong with Slash, Cash or London. That’s it. If the boys get hurt or sick, or Slash and I get in a tiff, those are the only things that bring me down.

Future plans... We know that your writing your Memoir which is extremely exciting!  What can u tell us about that? Is there anything else interesting ahead?  

Perla: Well, Ive touched the surface here regarding my childhood. Im just hoping to write a book that can inspire and make people think about their lives and the decisions they are forced to make every day. Ive had a pretty hectic life, and if I can overcome the obstacles Ive had before me, so can anyone. Im working on a 3 other things im not allowed to discuss right now but when I do, you guys will be the first to know. I should be able to tell you about one of them within a months time.

You have so many admirers, both women & men is there anything that you would like to say to your fans?

Perla: I haven’t done anything to have fans! I think of everyone as people ive touched in a way. I have 4 specific people that touched my life however I don’t say I am their fan. I feel a fan is someone that appreciates and loves something you’ve done with a talent. I have not done that yet! So Im greatly honored to just have so many people care about me and whatever it is that I do or have to say. You guys are all so wonderful and I try to be there for you whether its on twitter answering questions, or at Slashs shows or other public events. Im truly just happy to inspire and love and get love back from all of you.

ENTREVISTA A PERLA POR ANY ZAVATTO (@PerlaFansARG)

El día de hoy nuestra querida amiga de Argentina Any Zavatto (@PerlaFansARG) publicó la excelente entrevista realizada por ella a nuestra hermosa Perla Hudson y tuvo la amable cortesia de permitirnos mostrársela a ustedes en nuestro blog... He aquí la entrevista:

@PerlaFansARG: First of all, thank you so much for this big oportunity! It´s such an honor! So, how it was your time in Argentina? For us it was spectacular that you been here with Slash!! (I saw you in the first show and you looked stuning!)

Perla: It was awesome! I absolutely love the energy of the people!

@PerlaFansARG: Did you have time to go see some places in Buenos Aires?

Perla: Well, we ran off to a tiny church where the boys, Yohama, and Slash were all baptized so that was pretty special!
Other than the church, restaurants and concert venues, that is all we saw!

@PerlaFansARG: You also been in other latinamerican countries, how was the experience of been there for you?

Perla: I love Latin Americans! Those are my people. And I feel at home with latinos!

@PerlaFansARG: In the next SA tour of Slash, you will join him? Please say yes! Hahaha

Perla: Of course! Plus, Im a huge help for him because I speak Spanish and I understand him!

@PerlaFansARG: One thing I want to ask you is how you manage be a rock star wife, mom, housewife and a fashion icon? Because it seem to be imposible!

Perla: You forgot Chief operating officer of all of Slashs companies and businesses! It is almost impossible! I do it all hanging by my teeth! But I wouldn’t change my life for anything.

@PerlaFansARG: You and Slash are one of the most iconic couple in the rock world, do you want to be in the second season of married to rock? Because I thought you have to be since season one!

Perla: Well that’s tricky. Im very nervous to do a show opening our entire lives up to the world. We are pretty private so that is something I am still considering. Another problem is, Slash does not like the idea so if we did do it, we would have to find a way for him to be comfortable. If not, I will not do it. My husband is more important to me than being on any tv show.

@PerlaFansARG: One of your fans ask "How was the feeling when you first meet Salsh?" also they want to know "which´s your favourite song of Slash in his whole career?"

Perla: I felt like I knew him my entire life. It was total chemistry and love at first sight, for both of us! So hard to choose a favorite! Perhaps, “Obsession”. The instrumental version

@PerlaFansARG: At last, how´s the new solo record of Slash going? Are you doing it with your own record label?

Perla: Record is going great, more than 20 songs written. Now the hard part of which to actually record. Yes, we will do it on our own label, Dik Hayd records

@PerlaFansARG: Well, thank you sooo much for your time and I hope one day finally meet you!! You are a very nice and sweet person!
