On March 31st 2011 the dream of 6 venezuelan fans became true when they met the legendary guitarist Slash, it was an unforgettable night, first with a flawless Slash Concert and to top it all with the opportunity to spend close to half an hour with the one and only Saul Hudson.
It is hard enough trying to describe what I felt when I met Slash, but it's even harder to try to describe what the other 5 felt, so I thought it would be a good idea to let them write with their own words how was the experience.

"I can't really express how I felt! that was the moment I've been waiting for my whole life, that was it! I wanted to say so many things to him but I coudln't, my nerves won over me. I wanted to make him feel comfortable and great. It was like meeting part of my life in front of me. He is so warm and soulful that I wanted everything else to be in silence but him, and hold that moment forever. I can't thank enough to god and Perla for that happiness that I had never gotten before. I'll keep wishing to meet him again and finally meet Perla and the kids because to me they're my family too, I love them all. It was magical, THANKS!" D.R.

"Meeting Slash was simply UNBELIEVABLE! A dream without a doubt! Someone might think that an artist so high profile like Slash, known worldwide, might have some kind of atittude of greatness, but not him! his humbleness captivates whoever meets him, always with a smile, very kind, not at all the image that people may have of a superstar. The fact that he played his guitar in front of thousands of people for over two hours, a show that would let any artist exhausted and desperate to go rest in his hotel bedroom, and instead of that he stayed at the venue with the best atittude to meet and greet some of his fans just describes perfectly the kind of human being he is. "It was one of the best experiences in my life, not everyday you meet someone who you really admire and that you have seen for years through music videos, posters, magazines, etc; A lifetime waiting that one moment to happen and you think it will never do, and finally does... When you're in front of Slash the natural nervousness takes over you but at the same time it feels like you can't control the excitement, he was very kind and had the best atittude at the moment we met him, he shook my hand and it was awesome... Then we got into a room where he signed some autographs and we took some pictures with him, I couldn't believe it yet, time passed so fast but I enjoyed so much being able to share some moments with Slash, it was surreal, great and awesome... I never thought I had the pleasure to meet the creator of so many musical magic, the top hatted one, it was like being inside the best of the dreams. YOU ARE MY GUITAR HERO!! "It was incredible to shake the hand that composed the most powerful riffs of rock, being in front of him performing and watch closely the movement of his hands playing with the 6 strings was an awesome experience, and meeting him was madness! The few memories I have from my childhood are moments with my brothers listening GnR songs and the sounds of Slash's guitar that made us scream trying to imitate those melodies, melodies that now are the soundtrack of my life. I started playing the guitar with the only intention to learn his songs, of course, I'll never be able to play them with the same passion he has, and give them that unique and distinct sound that makes him an outstanding guitarist... What can I say that my friends hasn't? It's just not possible for me to express with words the feelings I felt minutes before the meeting with Slash, the adrenaline, the nervousness, the "what am I going to say to him?" writing a script inside my head that simply disappeared when I shook his hand and just a shy "hello" I was able to whisper. Twenty-five minutes? half an hour? I don't know how long we were with Slash, but what I do know and I'm sure I speak for the six of us, is that it felt like a second, we wanted time to just freeze there! The only way I can describe Slash is as the coolest guy I've ever met, being at that level, being considered one of the greatest guitar players of all time and yet receiving us with such humbleness is just amazing! It was unbelievable! surreal! but..... nothing's ever perfect!, I couldn't get to meet slash's better half, Perla! Whom I will never be able to thank enough for everything she did for us, I hope I get to meet her soon, without her, none of us could have experienced all of the things written here. Perla you are amazing! From Venezuela we send you all our love we're waiting for you with our arms wide open to welcome you!
